Kangaroo Leather Dress Belt - Tan rough-out
James B. Young’s dress belts are made from a full-grain vegetable tanned kangaroo leather over a bovine leather core to create a uniquely Australian belt that embodies an understated luxury and provenance unique on a world stage.
Kangaroo leather has been joined, stitched and laminated over the bovine leather core to achieve a supple yet firm belt. Fine stitching along edges that have been heat creased, sealed and burnished with natural waxes speak to a European sensibility of style and craftsmanship. Stepping from 1.8mm at the stitched edge to 4.5mm at the belt centre the perfect balance of strength and durability has been achieved.
A solid brass West End style buckle has been employed with signature solid brass saddlers rivets - traditional hardware that will neither rust nor corrode.
